Source: Baltimore mayor ordered police to stand down
Despite a firm denial by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, a senior law enforcement source charges that she gave an order for police to stand down as riots broke out Monday night, raising more questions about whether some of the violence and looting could have been prevented.
The source, who is involved in the enforcement efforts, confirmed to Fox News there was a direct order from the mayor to her police chief Monday night, effectively tying the hands of officers as they were pelted with rocks and bottles.
Asked directly if the mayor was the one who gave that order, the source said:
“You are God damn right it was.“
…to mean “when they’re standing on YOUR front porch ~ UNINVITED ~ and you have to chase them off”.
Union cancels Boeing vote, claiming gun-toting workers told it to take off
The union looking to organize workers at Boeing’s South Carolina plant has put its plans in a holding pattern, claiming workers are so opposed to signing up that they chased labor leaders off their porches at gunpoint.
In Florida we mighta coulda have shot them. Castle Doctrine and all.
…Ly was the daring pilot who landed his single seat cessna with his wife and five children on the USS Midway.
The flight deck was crowded with U.S. sailors and Vietnamese people, just like that day 35 years ago. High in the sky above their upturned faces, a Cessna circled the aircraft carrier Midway, symbolizing the pilot’s desperate plea to land.
Bung Ly was surrounded by San Diego Bay this time instead of the South China Sea, telling the story of how he crammed his wife and five children into the two-seater Bird Dog plane, fleeing over the waters ahead of the advancing Viet Cong.
Extraordinary means to save those things that mean the most to you in extraordinary circumstances.
Because, you know, they never gave moi my much-needed “space to destroy”
“I made it very clear that I work with the police and instructed them to do everything that they could to make sure that the protesters were able to exercise their right to free speech,” Rawlings-Blake said. “It’s a very delicate balancing act. Because while we try to make sure that they were protected from the cars and other things that were going on, we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well. And we worked very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to de-escalate.”
What The Hell.
Since the looting seems to be an officially sanctioned and approved City Hall community activity, I hope that ever single person who lost property sues the Mayor and city government for restoration.
This reads like a scene in “Airplane”
(Reuters) – Blamed initially on ‘engine failure’, it emerged on Tuesday that a government jet carrying Serbia’s president to Italy last week was forced to turn back when the co-pilot spilled coffee on the instrument board.
Advisers to President Tomislav Nikolic described being “thrown around the cabin” when the plane — a 34-year-old French-built Falcon 50 — began tumbling through the air on Friday.
…An investigation determined that the co-pilot, Bojan Zoric, had spilled coffee on the instrument board “due to ongoing turbulence”.
“I began wiping the board and accidentally activated the ’emergency slat’ button,” which automatically turned off the automatic pilot and the plane began losing altitude, Zoric said in the report by Serbia’s Civil Aviation Directorate .

Earth Day Co-Founder Killed, Composted Girlfriend
Ira Einhorn preached against Vietnam War and violence, but had a dark side
Ira Einhorn was on stage hosting the first Earth Day event at the Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on April 22, 1970. Seven years later, police raided his closet and found the “composted” body of his ex-girlfriend inside a trunk.

Obama Kept Iran’s Short Breakout Time a Secret
The Barack Obama administration has estimated for years that Iran was at most three months away from enriching enough nuclear fuel for an atomic bomb. But the administration only declassified this estimate at the beginning of the month, just in time for the White House to make the case for its Iran deal to Congress and the public.
Speaking to reporters and editors at our Washington bureau on Monday, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz acknowledged that the U.S. has assessed for several years that Iran has been two to three months away from producing enough fissile material for a nuclear weapon. When asked how long the administration has held this assessment, Moniz said: “Oh quite some time.” He added: “They are now, they are right now spinning, I mean enriching with 9,400 centrifuges out of their roughly 19,000. Plus all the . . . . R&D work. If you put that together it’s very, very little time to go forward. That’s the 2-3 months.”
Brian Hale, a spokesman for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, confirmed to me Monday that the two-to-three-month estimate for fissile material was declassified on April 1.
Here is the puzzling thing: When Obama began his second term in 2013, he sang a different tune…
Would I tell you something that wasn’t true…?*

State Department Won’t Rule Out $50 Billion ‘Signing Bonus’ For Iran
Largest cash infusion to terror regime in recent memory, experts say
The State Department on Monday would not rule out giving Iran up to $50 billion as a so-called “signing bonus” for agreeing to a nuclear deal later this year, according to comments made to journalists following reports that the Obama administration had formulated a plan to release tens of billions of frozen Iranian funds.
Experts have said this multi-billion dollar “signing bonus” option, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal, could be the largest cash infusion to a terror-backing regime in recent memory.
A cash release of $30 to $50 billion upon reaching a final nuclear agreement would come in addition to the more than $11 billion in unfrozen assets that Iran will already have received under an interim nuclear accord reached in 2013.
The forensic evidence that led to your execution was, er, um, how shall we say, perhaps not quite as compelling as we led the jury to believe
FBI overstated forensic hair matches in nearly all trials before 2000
By Spencer S. Hsu April 18 at 5:44 PM
The Justice Department and FBI have formally acknowledged that nearly every examiner in an elite FBI forensic unit gave flawed testimony in almost all trials in which they offered evidence against criminal defendants over more than a two-decade period before 2000.
Of 28 examiners with the FBI Laboratory’s microscopic hair comparison unit, 26 overstated forensic matches in ways that favored prosecutors in more than 95 percent of the 268 trials reviewed so far, according to the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and the Innocence Project, which are assisting the government with the country’s largest post-conviction review of questioned forensic evidence.
The cases include those of 32 defendants sentenced to death. Of those, 14 have been executed or died in prison, the groups said under an agreement with the government to release results after the review of the first 200 convictions.
…The review confirmed that FBI experts systematically testified to the near-certainty of “matches” of crime-scene hairs to defendants, backing their claims by citing incomplete or misleading statistics drawn from their case work.
In reality, there is no accepted research on how often hair from different people may appear the same.
And of course there will be no consequences for these people whose actions led to the incarceration of hundreds for many years, and the death of at least 14.

She’s apologized for letting her frustration get the better of her, but NEITHER for her unkind words, NOR directly to the tow company cashier.
She needs to HAVE no job. Like another entitled asshat who used his superior station in life to berate an undeserving, lower tier employee.

‘I want a BIG paycheck for Michelle’: Obama thinks jet-setting first lady needs more than vacations
Because jetting around the world to exotic locations and staying in 5-star luxury resorts is not as easy as it appears, President Obama thinks first lady Michelle Obama should get a paycheck — and not just any paycheck.
On the very day millions of Americans begrudgingly pay their tax debt to Uncle Sam, Obama proposed to add to that burden by advocating for a paycheck for the first lady, according to Breitbart News.
“Now Michelle would point out first ladies get paid nothing, so there’s clearly not equal pay at the White House when it comes to her and me,” the president said Wednesday at a townhall in South Carolina.
Proving how out of touch he is with ordinary Americans who struggle to come up with the money to write their annual check to the U.S. Treasury, Obama went for it all, calling the issue a “no brainer.”
“I want a big paycheck for Michelle,” he said.
Of COURSE Michelle would “point out First Ladies get PAID nothing“. Of COURSE she would. Why, there’s no compensation in the WORLD for the trials and travails they experience, right?
Last I heard, nobody had a gun to her head to stay a single night in that little ol’ house.
As if Michelle’s tax-payer funded roof-over-her-head mansion (complete with swanky banquets and fantasy guest lists) and no-limits, globe-trotting junkets weren’t like a brass ring of some sort, NOW we have to be guilt tripped into PAYING her to enjoy them.

College basketball player Lauren Hill dies of brain cancer
Lauren Hill, the 19-year-old college basketball player whose fight with terminal brain cancer put her on the national stage, died early Friday morning, Local12.com reported.
The Mount St. Joseph student gained international attention when she decided to play on the freshman basketball team even as her inoperable brain tumor was sapping her of coordination and energy. She played the team’s opener against Franklin College and scored two points before being replaced in the first quarter.
“This was my dream, to score on this floor, and it felt amazing,” Hill told WLWT.
Hill set a goal of $2.2 million for research and treatment of the type of cancer she developed more than a year ago, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Hill fundraised for The Cure Starts Now Foundation. According to The Cure Starts Now’s Facebook page, Hill’s efforts raised more than $1.4 million for DIPG research.
Tears my heart out.
Watch the video.
He falls off the horse and is lying on the ground. LONG before any cop gets there you can clearly see him put his hands behind his back in a completely submissive “I surrender” posture.
So naturally the first cop to get there kicks him in the face.
While the next cop kicks him in the balls and then a bunch of them begin to punch him.
of them needs to be fired, arrested, and criminally charged. This shit has got to stop.
This is what happens when you give all power to the State.
This is what happens when you shield government employees from responsibility and liability for their actions.
This is what happens when you militarize the police force.
Combine this with the execution of Walter Scott by Officer Michael Slager in South Carolina and one can easily see why police are agitating to limit the public’s and media’s right to film any and all encounters.
…at making no friends and negatively influencing people.
…The case was brought by the attorneys general of 26 states seeking to stop the president’s decision to grant quasi-legal status and work permits to millions of illegal immigrants. The controversy that angered Judge Hanen involved the timing of the president’s new measures. Administration lawyers told the court that the first part of the president’s action, expansion of DACA, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, was scheduled to begin Feb. 18, 2015. The second part, known as DAPA, or Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents, was scheduled to go into effect in mid-May.
In court arguments, Hanen specifically asked the administration lawyers whether the Department of Homeland Security would begin implementing DACA before Feb. 18. They said no. Hanen therefore issued an injunction temporarily stopping DACA on Feb. 16, two days before it was scheduled to go into effect. At that point, Hanen thought he had stopped things while he considered the larger issues of the lawsuit, which focus on the constitutionality of Obama’s action.
The judge was stunned when, on March 3, administration lawyers filed a “Defendant’s Advisory” admitting that the administration had begun implementing the expanded DACA program back in November, and had in fact granted new protections and work permits to “approximately 100,000 people” by the time administration lawyers told the judge nothing was happening.
