“Everything That’s Wrong…” No Pie Chart Necessary Edition
What sucks is that Kendrick Meek is a really decent guy, who has deserved a stand-up fight from the beginning. That a WEASEL like Bill Clinton, working with the ethics challenged Chicago tools in the White House, would throw a really viable, terrific Democrat like Kendrick over for a Circus Peanut-colored clown like Charlie Crist is an abomination. Like Marco says, it is the PERFECT illustration four days before the election of what is wrong with the Democratic Party and in Washington, period.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Former President Bill Clinton said Friday that he did not ask Democratic U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek to drop out of the Florida Senate race, where he trails badly, and throw his support behind independent Gov. Charlie Crist.

I was looking for pie charts and Circus Peanuts and I found neither. Damn.

Crist is actually polling at 30%, ahead of Meek. That doesn’t much good about some Florida voters.

I’ve met Meek a couple of times, and you’re right. I disagree with his politics, but he’s fundamentally a good guy, and he’s being fucked over by all the usual suspects. I obviously want Marco to win, but it would be karmic justice for Meek to beat Crist into 3rd.
A point not often made in that context is that Rubio and Meek are at the top of the ballot, while Crist is buried with all the no-name candidates from like, the Anarchist Vegetarian Party and the People’s Front of Judea.
My brother in law is Godfather to kendrick’s oldest and Ive broken bread with Meek plenty of times. He’s a stand-up, decent guy and incredible family man. When my father in law was hospitalized for emergency surgery a few years back, kendrick was one of the first one’s there and stayed all night with us. What his party tried to do to him is an injustice and shameful. And, in all honesty, had this been a Crist vs. Meek race, I would have voted kendrick.
I’m glad to know my instincts are right, you two. And just so YOU SOUTH Florida types know, Dave and Val, ALL of us Victory Office GOPers up here think the same about Kendrick. A- that he’s a stand-up, decent guy (He really LOOKS like a State Trooper, God bless him!) who in NO WAY deserved this orange turd being plopped in the middle of what rightfully should have been a two horse race, and, B- we hope he winds up a well placed second with Charlie BURIED DEEP in the 9th place Pit of Despair, vote-wise.
