   I thought the Lancaster, flanked by the two Spitfires, was a great touch. Very low, right over the Palace.

   Actually it was a Spitfire and a Hurricane, Yojimbo.

   From what I can find out the Spit actually flew in the Battle of Britain, while the Hurricane was built a little later.

   The spitfire actually flew in the Battle of Britain! Maybe Lawrence Harvey flew it! Oh, wait…there actually was a Battle of Britain? You can argue that the Battle of Britain probably marked the zenith of the British Empire. Right after the war that followed the, you know, war to end all wars, the Brits went all statist which was followed by the outright nationalization of all their keystone industries. Now they are careening right into sharia courts and arresting people for singing top ten songs that some clown objects to.

   They did have a jet fly-by. Probably Harriers but the shot was so far away, I really couldn’t tell. Did they retire the Harriers or one of the carriers?

   The Harriers were awesome jets.They kicked butt in the Falklands battle.That was the last gasp of British sovereignty.
