Are they saying people from the South are stupid?
Unskilled and uneducated?
At least they don’t have phoney degrees from Asian Colleges that are merely fronts for rich families to buy degrees for their children,who then take American jobs from people who can afford 200 thousand dollars to attend American
Colleges,Medical schools,ect.
Sounds like the same concern raised when Philly’s Tastykake Baking Co. was recently bought by a Southern firm. Coincidence? Hmmm.
Well, this will make a lot of friends for unions in the South.
Wow. Mr. Geogehan, your prejudice is showing. If a colleague of yours were to say similar about certain ethnic groups, you’d be aghast and reporting him to HR. But it’s OK for you to say it about Southerners.

And I’m still on the fence concerning WSJ motivation. True non-partisanism, an underlying sense of Northern superiority, or…they just wanted to watch the fireworks when the shit hit the fan?
The WSJ is sticking it to Obamists by using their own words. Its readers are smart enough to recognize this for what it is and will act accordingly. I hope.
I wonder if the WSJ published this as a joke. In other places, the author advocates a high-tax, heavily regulated regime. He wrote a book about how we should be more like Germany. Ironically, BMW makes its cars in the American South. Too bad those dumb Southern workers can’t compete against Detroit union quality (cough cough).
Let’s see: Thousands of NASA workers in Florida, Alabama and Texas; Lockheed plants in Georgia, Texas along with Bell Textron. That’s just to name a few and not mentioning the state of the art auto plants that Hyundi, BMW, Volkswagon and Mercedes have down here. Yup, all these dumb hicks in the South can’t make squat. Was that article supposed to be in the Onion and somehow got into the WSJ?
