I’m On The Side Of Our Law

The Constitution.

You do remember that old thing, don’t you Hillary?

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica (AP) – U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is questioning the priorities of lawmakers criticizing the U.S. intervention in Libya.

She’s asking bluntly, “Whose side are you on?”

…Clinton says Congress is free to raise objections but questions the priorities of the critics. She says the Obama administration and its partners are rightly siding with the Libyan people.

I care about the US people first.

And second.

And third.

We are there firing hundreds of cruise missiles and flying sorties, all in a “non-hostile” way of course, for…what? To protect French and Italian oil interests? To stop refugees from flowing into southern Europe and exacerbating an already nasty problem they have?

Suck it, Hillary.

Ask for Congressional support.

Lay out real reasons that we need to be there.

Or have all the funds cut off.

Boy, she’s a busy little beaver down there, isn’t she? Giving away islands that don’t belong to her, blowing off the Constitution…must be the dense, heavy tropical air that foments the revolutionary spirit.

Have a caipirinha, girlfriend, and clear your head, before you get REALLY stupid.

  2. Mr. Bingley says:

They gave her a Che t-shirt so she’s feeling saucy.

  3. MikeT says:

….but I would still rather have had her as President….makes me sick to say that….

  4. mojo says:

Libya? I’m supposed to care about LIBYA? The place where El Nutzo Supremo has been pitting one murderous desert tribe against another for the last 40 years, with the apparent okey-dokey of the Totally Useless UN?

Yeah. Good luck selling that, hon.

  5. I’m confused. I thought dissent was partriotic?

That’s what Hillary told us a while back:

“I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, that somehow you’re not patriotic. And we should stand up and say ‘We are Americans, and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.'”

    Nice catch, fartman!

  7. Yojimbo says:

    “Suspension of disbelief”. ‘Nuff said.

  8. Yojimbo says:

Not only Hillcare but, according to the French Candidate, “quoting” Jefferson,”Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”
Of course, he was talking out of both sides of his magic hat, but I digress.

  9. Yojimbo says:

And oh just goody. The administration, citing the Libyan shortfall, is opening the Strategic Petroleum Reserve!

  10. aelfheld says:

Yojimbo, like much the Left tosses about, the attribution of that phrase to Jefferson is, well, erroneous.

  11. major dad says:

    She’s gone native.

  12. Yojimbo says:

    I know,aelfheld, that’s why I put quoting in quotes.

  13. JeffS says:

Native, hell, she’s been that way all along. She’s just coming out the closet.

    One of them, anyway.

  14. nightfly says:

on the Strategic Petroleum Reserve –

We’re in monetary debt beyond the reckoning of Man, POTUS has burned through most the goodwill of our allies (especially the UK), State has put our foreign policy in hock to our enemies, the Entitlement Mentality has eroded our principles, fifty years of hippie blather have undermined our faith in Western Civilization, education policy has weakened actual teaching of students, and the choking kudzu of government bureaucracy is slowly killing our society’s civic institutions.

Given that all our the rest of our resources are so cheaply squandered – why should our oil reserves be any different?
