   I have never seen a Madeline plate before! Do you know how many little girls (and little girls at heart) would swoon over that?

   Of course, there probably are people swooning over the cheese, too!

   I found a set of these Madeline plates for Daughter in the Village in, gosh, 1996 or 7 I think it was.

   Right before she went Eloise on me and her and I went to the Palm Court at the Plaza for tea.

   “Tea” which set me back some $80.

   You know, many years ago when I was impressionable, I saw one of those very first talkie, black and white versions of, like, Les Miserables, or something. On our black and white TV in the basement, no less ~ an afternoon movie during the week, when they had such things. And when those gnarly, scary mobs started hauling folks out of buildings and off the street to their doom, it really put me off the whole “revolution/Bastille/whoopie doo/Party”. Pretty much on a permanent basis.
