Israelis reportedly don’t plan to notify US if decision made to strike Iran
Israeli officials say they won’t warn the U.S. if they decide to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, one U.S. intelligence official familiar with the discussions told the Associated Press. The pronouncement, delivered in a series of private, top-level conversations, sets a tense tone ahead of meetings in the coming days at the White House and Capitol Hill.
Israeli officials said that if they eventually decide a strike is necessary, they would keep the Americans in the dark to decrease the likelihood that the U.S. would be held responsible for failing to stop Israel’s potential attack. The U.S. has been working with the Israelis for months to persuade them that an attack would be only a temporary setback to Iran’s nuclear program.
Worried the U.S. “held responsible”? Oh, HELL no.
It’s because they know Obama’d be trying to make points and on the phone to ImADinnerJacket so fast, it’d have your head spinning like Linda Blair’s.

I don’t blame the Israeli government for not trusting the Obama Administration. I don’t trust that lot of sticky fingered, self serving commies and thugs either.
I don’t know. It seems that every day there’s something that supposedly “leaks” from once source or another that to me, is intended to scare the goose shit out of the Iranian ruling cult. A while back it was leaked that the US military had started a build-up of the 5,000 lb bunker bombs. How does something like that get leaked? It doesn’t, unless it was intended to be leaked. Same with this latest story out of Israel. Now the Iranian ruling cult have to worry about the fact that the US may not be in a position to stop those crazy bastard Jews from trying to save their country.
The truth is that for all the talk about martyrdom and Heavenly virgins, the Iranians don’t want to die any less than we do. I think all this rhetoric may be effective. If not, BOOM!!!!!
Syd B., the stuff being leaked is intended to distract us, not the ayatollahs, from the utter lack of forethought on exhibit by this administration.
Besides, who but the fantasists occupying the White House think the U.S. will be held blameless if and when Israel does what is necessary?
Aelfheld is correct, it is fantasy to believe we will not be blamed if Israel were to attack Iran. I’m not sure they will though, Iran is a long way for them to pull off an air strike. They don’t have long range bombers and it would take a massive strike to completely knockout Iran’s nukes. Now, knocking off nuke scientists one by one, that works.
Yeah, sounds like classic “wag the dog”.
