Ted Nugent Interview

From LGF, here’s one of the best interviews you will ever read:

“What do these deer think when they see you coming?” I ask him. “Here comes the nice guy who puts out our dinner? Or, there’s the man that shot my brother?”
“I don’t think they’re capable of either of those thoughts, you Limey asshole. They’re only interested in three things: the best place to eat, having sex and how quickly they can run away. Much like the French.”

The guy is insane…but hilarious.

Absolutely. Nooge is two floats short of a parade. There’s a fabulous episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force where Jesus is rumored to be appearing in a highway billboard – only because of Standards and Practices they can’t SAY “Jesus.” Our heroes are forced to refer to the image as “Gee Whiz” and “J son of G” until they discover that it is, in fact, Ted Nugent – “And my message is simple: anyone without a bandana, gun, and hunting knife get the *#%~ out of here!” He then blows up Carl with an explosive crossbow bolt.
Yes, it was really Ted doing the voice.

BAHAHA! I gotta set aside some quality time to read the whole interview.

  3. Aqua Teen Hunger Force??
    WTFIT?

  4. Ken Summers says:

BTW, I’ve actually heard an interview with him on the radio. Print does not do him justice. There ain’t enough caffeine and sugar in the world to make mere mortals that hyper.

  5. Rob says:

He had a long running feud with Patti Smith. She accused him of stealing moves and licks from her husband, Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult. I don’t know if they’re still married but Buck Dharma and Ted Nugent couldn’t be more different. Soem of their exchanges were a hoot if you can find any of them.

  6. Emily says:

When was Patti Smith ever married to Dharma? I thought the only husband she ever had was Frederick Smith from the MC5. I can imagine him having feuds with her for a number of reasons, though…

  7. Rob says:

Your memory is better than mine, Emily. My memory is that they were together in the 70s but I can’t find a reference to them being married now. I also can’t find any quotes of Smith and Nugent trashing each other but I know I read them in Creem, Rolling Stone, or Circus.

  8. Mr. Bingley says:

Maybe it’s in those back issues of Tiger Beat, Rob…

  9. Rob says:

I don’t ever remember reading Tiger Beat and I really only read a handful of Rolling Stones (I loathe that one). It was probably Creem or Circus.

  10. No one has explained Aqua Teen and the Hunger Force to me yet. I’m waiting.

Sorry – missed your question. ATHF is a cartoon on Adult Swim. The heroes are a shake, a large order of fries, and a meatball, and they live in New Jersey next to poor, slovenly, put-upon Carl. Just about every episode involves one of the principals dying somehow.
It’s funnier than it sounds. (BTW, Glenn Danzig was also on the show once, as himself.) You can’t go wrong with the Mooninites, for example. (They’re the Atari-lookin’ dudes. YES, it’s funny, dammit.)
