Yes, this Alabama resident is quite familiar with the hate. I’m an oddity–I can cheer for either Bama or Auburn, but then again, I attended BOTH schools.
I was in a bar in north Atlanta one day during a truly cow on a flat rock downpour. We watched one of the regulars come in, soaked to the bone from all the way across the lot. One of the locals asked him why he didn’t just use the handicapped spot right outside the front door since he had an Auburn sticker on the car.
