Nevada Allegedly Gave Hundreds Of Mental Patients One-Way Bus Tickets To California

The city of San Francisco is considering a lawsuit against Nevada for allegedly releasing and providing hundreds of psychiatric patients one-way bus tickets into California, KTVU reports.

The possible action stems from a separate federal civil rights suit filed by James Flavey Coy Brown in Nevada, who alleges the state put him on a one-way bus to northern California after discharging him from a treatment facility. He’s seeking class-action status for as many as 1,500 others.

I’m so glad Harry and Co. is in charge of my health care now.

Aren’t you?

I’m really not seeing the problem. Sounds like they’re RIGHT where they should be.

    Was that insensitive of me?

  2. aelfheld says:

How does San Francisco differentiate between domestic and imported loons?

  3. Julie says:

Sis, as a former Californicator, er Californian, I don’t think that’s insensitive. In fact, I’m surprised anyone noticed the increased in crazies…..

  4. BlackDog says:

Julie, it may be the Nevadans are less crazy.

I think this is the first thing Harry Reid has ever done that I can approve of. California is already a lost cause; we could use it as Heinlein did in his story ‘Coventry”.

I still think Harry Reid needs to die slowly in a fire, but shipping loonys to Cali I can get behind.

  6. JeffS says:

Given that California openly supports illegal immigration, the hypocrisy of their actions against Nevada is huge.

    Unsurprising, but still huge.

  7. Skyler says:

California gives away free stuff and then complains that people come to collect the free stuff? What is the basis of their complaint? If you don’t want to give stuff away for free then don’t. But don’t complain when others try to collect.

At the very minimum, we need to give Reid a one-way Greyhound ticked OUT of DC and back to Nevada. Or where ever he can’t hurt the rest of us.

  9. Michael Lonie says:

Even if Harry loses his Senate seat, he won’t be going back to Nevada. He’ll get a job as a lobbyist and still be hurting the rest of us till he’s too decrepit to talk and schmooze congresscritters and bureaucrats at expensive lunches.
