Just substitute “Cruz”, “TeaParty”, “Republicans”, “Fiscal Restraint” or any of the recent things that ruffle The One’s feathers for “Jesus”. They work PERFECTLY in the lyrics.

Lyrics that already have a “Listen to that howling mob of blockheads in the street” line.

That would be us.

    I used to listen to my sister’s album of Jesus Christ Superstar a lot when I was a kid. Despite the hippy feel to it, I thought it was a very good musical. I’ve not seen this version. When did it come out?
