    “The Currants in the Rye”. Isn’t that an old hillbilly song? Starts out with him singing about currants and rye and ends up with him shooting dead the love of his life. Or missing his old dog Blue. Or, maybe, about his old ma, who he let down when he went to prison. Something like that.
