But fun. Oddly enough, though, back then, evil got it’s due – even in cult classics.
I first saw it in Philadelphia during my art school days. A few of the locals were dressed in character and performed live just under the screen, half of us in the audience were drunk, the other half squeaked out on various illicit drugs. A good time was had by all even without throwing toast or toilet paper and all of the other official projectiles.
Saw it on Broadway a while back with Dick Cavette as the narrator. It was worth the price of admission to tell a noisy woman he was going to bitch slap her to the curb.
