Ace Perfectly Explains The New Sellout

And the cocooned assholes in the Republican Party wonder why some populist demagogue like Trump has such appeal

If I have this right:

We needed to quadruple the number of H2B visas because we needed far more nonagricultural, low-skill, low-wage workers coming into the country. H2B visas are granted for jobs like “amusement park worker.”

As you know, amusement park workers, at, for example, large corporations like Disney, have been absolutely Raping their poor corporate paymasters with their insolent insistence that they be paid a dollar fifty more than minimum wage.

We need to import foreign workers to get that number down to a more acceptable dollar over minimum wage.

This makes our corporations More Globally Competitive (TM).

Now, the various American workers displaced by the foreign ones will go, of course, on welfare (after their unemployment insurance runs out, of course). Those costs will be borne by you, the American taxpayer.

Not only will those costs be borne by you, but so will all the knock-on costs. People stripped of their work are also stripped of their dignity. Work is a tangible connection, reinforced every hour of every day of every week, between present labor and good habits and future gain.

Read the whole thing. The GOP, especially after this latest Ryan debacle, deserves to disappear.

My U.S. Representative has, with her votes for all sorts of stupid and wasteful things, annoyed me to the point of seriously considering voting for the Democrat in the general election (no Republican challenger having surfaced).

It’s not that I expect the Democrat (whoever it is) to be any better but I’d prefer an honest thief, so to speak. I doubt I’m the only one tired of watching GOP promises of reform and restraint being shed like snake skin. I do know I’m tired of being lied to.

It’s astounding. The whole debacle basically boiled down to…

GOP: Help us or we’ll lose elections!
Base: OK, but stick to principles.
GOP: Thanks! BTW, we’re gonna compromise or we’ll lose elections.
Base: So, we get NOTHING we hoped for and lose the country we have the elections in?
    GOP: EVERYBODY WINS!

Yeah, well, not you guys. Not any more. If civil meltdown is the only way to teach people, then we might as well pitch it into the hottest fire and be done with it.

Here’s an interesting speculation. Let’s assume for a moment, that Trump stands as the Republican candidate and then wipes the floor with that pure evil witch, Hillary. What would stop him, over the course of his term, from leaving the Republican Party and forming his own party, to which he could invite members of baoth houses, potentially from both sides, to join? Alas, a third party would be born, which most political experts have forever argued could never happen.

    The Trump Party.

3rd parties have been born (and succeeded before). Maybe it’s time again.
