And That’s Why They Play the Game
Because you can’t be THAT stoopid and a millionaire doing anything else…unless you’re Paris Hilton.
When the Super Bowl XLIII champion Pittsburgh Steelers make their trip to the White House Thursday, one of the players largely responsible for their victory over the Arizona Cardinals says he won’t be attending.
Linebacker James Harrison said he’ll pass on the invite from President Barack Obama.
…”This is how I feel — if you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don’t win the Super Bowl.As far as I’m concerned, he [Obama] would’ve invited Arizona if they had won,” said Harrison.
I say good for him. He didn’t go when they won before and they were invited by Bush; he’s being admirably consistent and not going now.
Oh, he’s ‘consistent’, alright.
I don’t care that he does not want to go with the team to the White House, but that “invite us when we don’t win” is a bit weird.
There’s a difference between the office and the person or the politics. As much as I despise that marxist, he still is our head of state and there’s nothing wrong with him honoring the superbowl champs.
I know the real reason why he’s not going to the White House – he’s still tired from this. Man’s gotta get his rest.
