Governor plans to completely eliminate welfare for families
… The proposals would completely reshape the state’s social service network, transforming California from one of the country’s most generous states to one of the most tightfisted. The proposals are intended to help close a budget deficit estimated at $21.3 billion.

If ‘for reals’, I would offer some will be saying “it’s about effin’ time”, but they won’t be heard over the screams.

    The Governator isn’t going to pi$$ off the liberal masses by swinging to the right, just to balance the budget.
    He could also shut down every single silly commission, study, and minor bureaucratic operation in the state. But that would take a lot of work, and would pi$$ off a lot of special interest groups (like the state legislature) as well.
    So I vote for feint.

    He might eliminate welfare for American born families,but no one can touch welfare for illegals
    or immigrants,nearly 30 percent of the budget.Eight
    million at least on some sort of public assistance.
    The Forbidden subject- Don’t ever talk about it.

    of Orwell’s 1984..
