Raise Your Hand If You Think Acorn Should Keep Getting Taxpayer Money
Congratulations! You agree with Rush Holt and Frank Pallone
The House of Representatives just voted overwhelmingly to de-fund ACORN, 345-75. The vote came on a Republican motion to recommit the educational loan bill. As a result, the anti-ACORN provision made it into the House-passed bill.
Below are the names of all 75 congressmen who voted to preserve ACORN’s stream of funding.
Rush Holt, D-N.J.
Frank Pallone, D-N.J.
Bill Pascrell, D-N.J.
Donald Payne, D-N.J.
Albio Sires, D-N.J.
Way to be all about fighting fraud and waste, there, guys!
Heck, I know I’d sure trust you with my health care.
Rut-roh.
Okay, I’ll admit ~ I added a little ee-ville snicker of delight.
Call your buddy Rush’s office, Bingley!
See, here’s what’s delicious about this: either he says “I think we should keep funding ACORN” or he has to say “I didn’t read the bill I was voting on.”
Win/win all around.
Heh….from the roll call, I see that Bawney Fwanks (Dumba$$-MA) is down as “Not Voting”. So is Ubermoonbat Ron Paul.
Hey! Sis, is Hastings your Congresscritter? A “Hastings (FL)” voted “Present”, possibly in homage to The Once™.
And note who voted “No”: Stark, Waxman, McDermott, Waters, and Kucinich.
WTF! Murtha voted for the suspension. Are the dogs yapping at his heels?
This is meaningless. The same people will reconstitute almost immediately into another organization and get even more money.
Cutting off funds is appropriate, but amounts to nothing if people are not imprisoned. Otherwise there is no incentive to follow the law.
I’ll bet that we’ll learn in a few years that the same people (probably even the same ones in the videos) will be on the government tit almost from the day ACORN funding was cut off.
Skyler’s right. The Annointed will make sure the IRS, FBI, OMB, LSMFT and whoever else goes nowhere with this. But he’ll make sure we grovel at his feet for tossing us a couple sacrificial lambs who’ll glide into some cushy gummint job shortly thereafter.
