Netherfield In Bloom

Hopefully

I spent all day yesterday planting azaleas in a corner of the yard where nothing but sand has ever grown. Hopefully, like Suzette said, winter will be soon but a faded memory used to terrify small children…

What’s wrong with sand? Don’t you think cats deserve a little respect?

  2. Suzette says:

    Lovely!

May I recommend Hollytone as a plant food to be applied after flowering stops? It’s organic and somehow it sends out the signal to the worms to come on in. Also, it’s made in NJ.

I second Suzette’s recommendation of Hollytone. My parents used it on their evergreens, and I’ve always used it on mine, they just love it.

    Thanks!

“Hollytone” sounds like a doo-wop band that Jim belongs to…

  5. JeffS says:

Think of all the fertilizer those poor cats could be providing you, Mr. Bingley. And for free. Or does Claude object to felines in his territory?

Netherfield in bloom sounds like one of those Masterpiece Theater(re) thingies on PBS.

These look lovely. I know nothing whatever about gardening, so I’ll just wish you good luck with the azaleas.
