And Another Thing

We’ve waited for months for Boston Legal to hit ABC’s schedule again. Missed it last week because of base-ah-baw-roo playoffs, but definately wanted to see it last night. They’d previewed scenes of Betty White on trial for head whackinging the frying pan murderer of the previous season. “Woo hoo!” we thought. What they didn’t show were previews of the hour’s other case with it’s excruciating “Bush let the automatic weapons ban die and Congress rolled over for him” stilted preachy counsel questioning during said case. We felt dirty and used. Oh my God, that’s the end of that. Tuesday night viewing now officially becomes a vacuum after My Name Is Earl. (Which, if you haven’t seen it, means you are being punished by bad Karma. Rage, RAGE against the dying of the light!)

Earl’s Karma Guide What’s to argue?

As I go through life, fixing my mistakes one at a time, I’ve learned a thing or two about Karma, and part of keeping good Karma is sharing it with others. I hope these notions help you as much as they’ve helped me.

Do good things and good things will happen to you. Do bad things and it will come back and bite you in the ass.

If you want a better life, you need to be a better person.

Bad luck might be contagious. It wouldn’t be fair to bring someone into your life until you clean yours up.

Never underestimate the power of confidence. And never underestimate fifteen beers, a little enlightenment, and the power of Rob Base and DJ Easy Rock.

A person needs a little rest after having his moustache tickled at a gay bar.

You have to do the hard things in life sooner or later.

If you want the reward, you have to do the work.

The secret to life is fixing all the bad things that you’ve done.

Whether picking up trash, returning stolen merchandise, or helping a homosexual find love, it always has the same reward… feeling good about yourself.

Karma. You got to love it.

I used to watch it. I have no desier to now. Not because of that ep (didn’t watch it) but because I lost all interest during the off-season.
Got addicted to The Office* last night.
    *Completely shameless, self-serving plug.

  3. Oh Lisa, no LIE!!! He is a national treasure, but damn. We just could not sit through it last night. Which is the problem we had with The Office last year, which is why we’re not watching it this year. Talk about excruciating. I hope one good episode doesn’ty lead to a huge disappointment, Cullen.

Last night’s ep was particularly bad, but it’s still must-see-tv for us.
    I lurve James Spader.

  5. Oh, it was just as gross as anything John ever grew in a jar in college. Which, coincidentally, is what I thought of James Spader unTIL this show. He’s terrifically slimy, with a heart(?!). LOVES him.
