Another Couple Snowy Inches Last Night
While the commutertory aspects of the snow are somewhat odious I must admit it has been a lovely Winter with many a Currier and Ives vista out our front door.
And many a bottle of warmthifying red wine consumed inside.

To celebrate Valentine’s, my beautiful wife and I are spending the weekend at a country estate spa. Last evening, we went snow shoeing through the many trails here, before settling down to an incredible dinner. I had brought a bottle of 2001 Dominus from home (sadly, my last one) and had given it to the Sommelier to decant before our walk. It was, simply stated, magnificent. All components in the Universe were aligned but tomorrow, we return home to a driveway full of snow, a stack of bills on the counter and a daughter home from university, no doubt, lying on the couch with a kitchen sink full of dirty dishes.
Back to reality.
Ah, reality.
It really puts a crimp in life sometimes, doesn’t it?
