I Saw This on Subway's Window

...and about bust a gut. I can't believe an American corporation did this. (Apparently, quite some time ago ~ I don't get out much.) That took:
A) a good sense of humor
B) big, BIG begonias

If you haven't seen it before, read and enjoy.

Of course, this is a vicious jab at the French and their military. Sacre bleu! The poulet is even dressed like Napolean, for Chirac's sake! Everyone knows French Forces are the finest in haute situations. Why, just a week ago, they bravely assaulted a fairy (sp.) that had been commandeered by disgruntled Union Workers. The daring assault was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed, according to government sources.

French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin ordered the operation, involving about 50 commandos who had warned the crew of the pending assault, according to his office and a military spokesman.

Defense Minister Michele Alliot-Marie, whose ministry commands the elite GIGN police force, congratulated the commandos for "perfectly" completing their mission. Officials said no violence was involved.

Mon dieu!! That's sort of the problem with the French Forces, n'est pas? I leave you to ponder the last words of the vanquished:
"They succeeded in their big military action. They defeated a handful of unarmed Corsican sailors," he said afterward.

Upon successful completion of the mission, the French officer-in-charge was heard to say, "Now go away or we will taunt you one more time."

Hey, them Corsicans can be tough.

And that pic reminds me of a recent commercial; was it Wendy's? Can't remember.

"In 1815, the French surrendered..."

BTW, I'm about 3/4 through the Richard Sharpe series. Page after page of Frog-whuppin' fun.

I LOVE those stories! (But I like them even better when I get to see Sean Bean play Sharpe ~ Gah-ROWL!)
