And I Flew Home From Brazil Last Night Why Exactly?

I go from shovelling beer in to me to shovelling snow away from me in the space of a few hours. Yeah!

Tsk, tsk! Look for the silver lining. You can work off all those extra calories, Mr. Bingley! And in such a lovely setting, too.

It's 11 a.m. and 39˚ here, so we're suffering too ya know...

Funny you should mention that JeffS! Here's part of how I spent my first few hours after getting home from the airport: shovelling the sidewalk! I also cleared the driveway, but was too darn tired to take a picture.

Thank goodness my sweet bride has a 6 pack of MacEwan's Scotch Ale waiting for me in the fridge...

Still snowing and I'm not digging the car out til it stops. I am going thru withdrawl due to no Sunday papers.

You dope (major dad fondly adds "pencil-neck")! How can you live in Jersey and NOT own a snow shovel? We even had one in North Carolina, for God's sake. Give it up, go inside and have a beer.

Not much in the Times this morning, Kcruella. But my nephew's cosmic twin DID win a gold in the half-pipe.

65 deg here, and that's a little cooler than the last couple of days... [whistle whistle]

Northern Illinois... no snow. I'm almost envious.

Well, up to the shovelling part.

It's about 45 F now, and all of the snow is in the mountains.

But we've had a hard frost every morning for the past week or so. Makes walking to work a bit nippy. Scraping the windshield is necessary if I drive, but not a serious problem, thanks to a handy bottle of liquid de-icer. And the nippiness is a pleasant change from the desert.

They say it never snows in South America
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never snows in Brasilia
But Bingley doesn't warn ya
The girls snore
Man, they snore

You've been trackbacked, too.

Welcome home, Bing. I guess the snow is in reaction to your return. We really thought we'd gotten rid o' ya. :)

I feel for y'all, but like THS said, we're suffering down here too.

Just spent almost an hour digging out the car. Have no problem trading snow for hurricanes if anyone wants to trade.

You flew home at exactly the right time. Want to think what your wife would have done with that beer had you still been galivanting around in Brazil while she was shoveling all that snow? My wife proabably would have brought it back to the store and traded it for a 6-pack of Pabst.

Kcruella: "Just spent almost an hour digging out the car. Have no problem trading snow for hurricanes if anyone wants to trade."

Not a chance!

Good one, Fly!
