Surprisingly not for his music.

Has there ever been a more appropriate name for a singer than "Yawni"?

Jeez, I saw the dateline "Manalapan" and I thought "Oh! When did Yanni move to the Philippines? Gone Gary Glitter/Marlon Brando has he?" Guess not.

I saw Manalapan and I thought NJ.

I wouldn't go mentioning Gary Glitter in this context. Last I heard he was up on child sex abuse charges in Vietnam (potentially a death penalty crime there).

Ken - true. He was convicted just a couple of days ago and sentenced to six years.
Oh - strike that - three years. And from reading the account (instead of the crawl at the bottom of the TV), influence and money talk anywhere:
"Glitter, who had faced up to seven years in prison, was given the minimum sentence of three by the court. The judge later explained that among the factors contributing to the lighter sentence was the $2,000 each that Glitter paid to each girl's family as "compensation" in December."
Bastards.
"Glitter, who looked visibly thinner since his arrest, has been held at Phuoc Co prison outside Vung Tau since November 19, when he was caught at the Ho Chi Minh City airport trying to board a flight for Bangkok. Police confiscated his laptop, which had hundreds of pornographic pictures on it. ... Glitter was convicted in Britain in 1999 for possessing child pornography and served half of a four-month jail term. He later went to Cambodia and in 2002 was expelled from that country, but Cambodian officials did not specify any crime or file charges."
DAMN! Hasn't anybody ever heard of a pattern of behavior? And who gets only FOUR MONTHS for such a thing?

Thanks for the update, Fly. Hadn't heard anything new in a few months.

And he only served 2 of those 4 'Fly.
Blech.

I knew that, Ken.
