   I’m so sad! A journalist friend of mine was going to cover the race and do a story about the jockey. I wonder if that will still happen now.

   Racing horses, for all of their size, strength and speed, are quite fragile beasts.

   Damn shame this Triple Crown contender won’t be able to make the dream come true.

   I’m just grateful they didn’t sacrifice their golden goose’s minor injury for the the shot at the golden ring and a chance at a major catastrophe for the animal. I love the integrity of the decision.

   Not so sure I’d give them that much credit, ths. Wonder what the decision would have been had he not had a lucrative stud career on deck. No cynic here, though. Not me.
