This will only be hilarious to those Swillers who’ve been through/had someone close go through ANY of our military boot camps and know what you know, but it IS hilarious…right after you wince a little. (And I’d like to have a word with you, Real JeffS, as soon as I finish this…)
…Nearly forgot. Two weeks ago JeffS sent me a HUGE box of candy and porn cards. It was funny as hell! TI’s told me to kick his ass. I got off because I’d already told them I was a mil brat and had a bunch of military friends. How ironic is that?

Some of the funniest Basic Training moments were recruits receiving pogey bait from home.
I remember one recruit in my training battalion received a huge box of popcorn.
I’ll have to check with Kcruella, but I think we only had one girl get a small box of candy or cookies from her gramma, and THAT was a HUGE scandal.
Jeff got him but GOOD. And thank God it was Lackland, not Parris Island!
Heh heh heh heh!!!!! I wasn’t sure about the Lackland pogey policy, but I figured it would strike a chord SOMEWHERE in the system.

Haha…good one, Jeff. I don’t remember anything uproarious in my BT platoon, but the DIs regularly chowed down any cookies or treats that arrived. Right in front of us, of course.
So how’d they split it up? Them gomers steal all the goodies.
I’d like to know that as well, mojo. Especially with the deck of cards based on the Kama Sutra.
Tampering with or intercepting mail is a Federal crime!
As one DI noted: “Son, in a fight between the USMC and the USPS, who would you bet on?”
At Fort Knox, our Drills would allow us to eat any treats we got in the mail. However, you had to do it in the front leaning rest. And you had to share with the drills. One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen is someone eating a cupcake in the push-up position.
