Two teen boys arrested in shooting death of Georgia infant in stroller
Two teenage boys were arrested Friday in the shocking shooting death of an infant, killed in the stroller his mother was pushing in a coastal Georgia town.
Seventeen-year-old De’Marquis Elkins is charged as an adult with first-degree murder, along with a 14-year-old who was not identified because he is a juvenile, Brunswick Police Chief Tobe Green said.…West, wept Friday while she told The Associated Press that she pleaded with the gunman and a younger accomplice who approached her Thursday morning while she walked near their home in coastal Brunswick.
“He asked me for money and I said I didn’t have it,” she said. “When you have a baby, you spend all your money on babies. They’re expensive. And he kept asking and I just said `I don’t have it.’
And he said, `Do you want me to kill your baby?‘
And I said, `No, don’t kill my baby!”‘
West said the gunman fired four shots, the first into the ground. West didn’t see a shell casing ejected and she assumed the gun wasn’t real.
Then he fired at her head and the bullet grazed her left ear — she has a small scab and bruising there. He fired again and shot her in the left leg above the knee. “I didn’t know I was hurt.”
“The boy proceeded to go around to the stroller and he shot my baby in the face,” she said.
“And then he just shoved me when I started screaming and he ran down London Street with the little boy.”
In our rush to make excuses for the unfortunate among us, we have a developed a race of child predators with no souls or consciences.
I can’t wait to hear the piteous stories of this monster’s upbringing.

Not only does he need to die for this, we need him to die for this.
Unfortunately, he likely won’t. The idiots on the Supreme Court would find such a punishment ‘cruel and unusual’ – as if Antonio’s death wasn’t.
The supreme court won’t do anything about this. They can’t be executed. The court has already ruled it unconstitutional to execute minors.
Aelf/Skyler ~ exactly. And the 14 year old will be turned loose on society the second he turns 18 or 21. Whatever ages him out of the juvenile system.

The only consolation prize out of this is if that 14 year old is put in general population in a prison like Joliet and catches every STD known to humanity and then gets shanked.

Yeah, I know – I’ve seen it – some people are just born evil. But in days past, parents of those sorts disowned them. Nowadays they sue to keep them out of jail.

I can’t even. It’s bad enough when one of these predators harms an adult….but killing a mother’s baby IN FRONT OF HER? How soulless does a person have to be to be able to do that?
I agree, the parents (or whoever passes for a “guardian” for these kids) needs to pay as well.
