Maundy Thursday

Christ we do all adore Thee and we do praise Thee forever
Christ we do all adore Thee and we do praise Thee forever
For on the holy cross hast Thou the world from sin redeemed
Christ we do all adore Thee

With those simple yet glorious words, composed in 1867 by Théodore Dubois, sung a cappella, our service tonight will end in darkness as the altar is stripped of all cloths and adornments and we will depart in silence, pondering our condition.

An evening to reflect on who we are, what we are, what we’ve done…and what we can and can not do.

So true. I want to add my “amen” to every word.
