“Selected Not Elected OK By Me” Says Dean

Well, look who’s changed his mind

The Supreme Court had every right to overturn the popular vote and choose the candidate they believe would be best equipped to defeat Islamic Terrorism, according to Howard Dean, chairman of the US Democratic National Committee.

This from the Party of the People.
Oops, my bad, what he really said was

The Democratic party’s “superdelegates” have every right to overturn the popular vote and choose the candidate they believe would be best equipped to defeat John McCain in a general election, according to Howard Dean, chairman of the US Democratic National Committee.

Sorry for any confusion.

    Howard Dean: stuck on stupid.

  2. Jim - PRS says:

He’s reciting the rule, which the DNC put in place. Funny though, after reminding everyone what the rule says, he is demanding that they commit by June 1st. Ooops! That’s not part of the rule.
Sort of like that No Early Primary Election Rule, which is now biting the party in the ass.
Democrats and Rules. It’s a wonderous thing to watch.

  3. By party rules, they do indeed have the right to overturn the popular vote. But it will be fun to watch either way.
Every election year, I get even less enamored of the primary system in both parties. As Eric Scheie (I think it was) said recently, the smoke filled rooms gave us some of our best Presidents.

  4. Will Rev. Al rally the troops and shut down Denver if the superdelegates invoke their LEGAL right to do their OWN thing? Use their own JUDGEment?
    Film at…

  5. Gunslinger says:

Personally, I hope the “superdelegates” do as they damn well please since the whole primary system is nothing but a bad joke anyway.

Superdelegate! Faster than a speeding ballot, more powerful than the voters will, able to leap party procedure in a single bound! (Oy!)

  6. Mr. Bingley says:

    All voters are equal.
Just some are more equal than others in the Democratic Primary.

  7. The_Real_JeffS says:

There’s no confusion here, Mr. Bingley. Deano has no personal or professional ethics, and will do whatever he feels must be done.
The fact that his actions are hypocritical (philosophically, since the Dhimmicrat superdelegates have their power by the DNC rules) are quite immaterial.

  8. Clyde says:

Typical liberal comments. So–what else is new or at least news?

Howard Dean had the nomination nearly wrapped up
for himself in 2004.He blew a massive lead after people
finally heard him, and realized he was an idiot.
Now he’s running the show.Politics is the
only business that rewards incompetency. It’s not what you know,it’s who you know. The PTA or mother’s
    club is running our nation.
Jackie Spier was elected to Congress in my district. No one ever brought up that she at one
time supported lowering the voting age to 14.

  10. Greg, you’re in Jackie Speier’s district?
    Oh gawd, I’m so sorry…
