Sitting There Calmly Took Enormous Guts

…but what old girl did? Wowsers.

…The 56-year-old slowly and deliberately raises the gun and levels it at Husfelt, who pleads “Please don’t, please don’t.” Duke then fires two shots that miss, followed by several others that didn’t hit the half-dozen or so people still left in the room.

Before he started shooting, member Ginger Littleton, who had left the room as ordered, sneaks up behind Duke as he stands next to the long, beige desk where the board was sitting and whacks him on the arm with her large, brown purse made of an alligator-like material.

“In my mind, that was the last attempt or opportunity to divert him,” she told The Associated Press.

Duke, a large, heavyset man, got angry, turned around, and she fell to the floor and board members pleaded with her to stop. Duke pointed the gun at her head and said, “You stupid b—-” but he didn’t shoot her, she said. She’s not sure why.

“He had every opportunity to take me out,” she said.

God bless ’em both. AMAZING individuals. AMAZING.

They were on the Today show this morning, and she said he called her a “stupid bitch,” when he threw her to the ground. She said, “I’d have to agree with him on the ‘stupid’ part.” Hahahahaa.

    But seriously, they were awesome.

My god, watching that video when she sneaks up on him. She is simply amazing.

And I contrast that in my mind to the ‘security personnel’ crouching behind their cars at Virginia Tech while you can hear the shots going off inside the building, or the cops spending 30 minutes setting up their “defensive perimeter” a quarter mile away from the Petit household in Connecticut while those bastards committed such horrors on that poor family.

Sorry, this entire story is a fabrication.

First, it was a school related event, therefore a gun-free-zone. It is impossible for people to carry guns into a gun free zone.

Second, the guy in question is a felon. Background checks prevent felons from obtaining weaponry. Period.

This could NOT have happened unless everything they’ve told me about gun control is a lie.

Or the Rodney King riots when LAFD sent their rigs out UNESCORTED and took incoming fire while LAPD established their mobile command posts.

  5. JeffS says:

Heh heh heh heh! Good one, Rob!

She should have smacked him up side his head. Saw where someone has said he must be a liberal whackjob since he sure didn’t know how to shoot. Thankfully.

  7. Donna D. says:

THS, loved this lady! The guys are cowering and she tries to smack the s**t out of the wack job with her purse! Goes to show you always carry a big purse, it can be used as a weapon.

  8. Kathy Kinsley says:

A member in proud standing of the Order of the Bellicose Women, that one. Though it would have been far better had she had a brick or two in that purse.

  9. Laura says:

I watched the footage and you can see where he fired once and then squeezed off a second accidently into the floor that made him jump. The people are very lucky he was such an amateur. But yes, they did brave acts at such a scary time and that makes them heroes.

  10. Julie says:

The part that gets to me is where the article talks about the security chief running in and shooting the guy — I would be running OUT, not in — and then later he was distraught, because he had never shot anyone before. Say what you want about law enforcement, they are heroes to me.
