That Champion of Human Rights and Equality for All

…Robert Mugabe, seems to be in a tough pickle right now.

I think it’s called a “coup.”

How could those ingrates not appreciate the empathetic, loving gent Dan Rather lionized?

Wouldn’t it be a pity if Mugabe was deposed?

No -in fact I’ll do a happy dance, but I won’t hold out any hope for his successor to be an improvement.

What I heard this morning – not sure if it’s panned out or not – was that he was deposed because he’d decided his lovely young wife should now be president in his stead. Sort of a ‘keep the lineage alive/hands in the mouldering cookie jar’ move on their part. I guess after 30 years of raping and pillaging, some folks weren’t ready for the missus to inherit the chair.

Kathy, as the saying goes, ‘ A change of rulers is the joy of fools.’

Nevertheless, it’s hard not to be heartened by the downfall of this particular Afro-Marxist-psycho.

@aelfheld – yes it is. I did say I’d do a happy dance. (And did.)

But, as you said… ‘ A change of rulers is the joy of fools.’

Good articles. Both of them. Thanks, aelfheld.
