There is Mucho Joy in Casa de Major Dad Tonight
Our cardinals have returned. They finally came back post-Ivan for a brief few weeks last summer, only to be driven away by Dennis and Katrina. We’ve been faithfully keeping the feeder full this past 18 months hoping they’d find their way home.
This is the first chirp chirp in the backyard. (Integrity Alert ~ stolen picture…)
I will have a drink.

Oooooh! Pretty cardinal!
All I get around here is crows, Canadian geese and seagulls.
Pretty? Hmmm…Looks more like “Gunny” cardinal to me. My Grandma loved cardinals and every year had a pair somewhere in her yard. I don’t remember them looking that mean though.
(I stole the picture ~ ours are camera shy just yet. Must be the Scotties snarling at the screen door.)
We do get humming birds around here, especially since my neighbor started planting high nectar flowers. If I ever pick up another digital camera, I’ll see if I can get a shot.

If the cardinals stopped coming to CrabAppleLane, I’d have to move. Glad to see they’re back at su casa.
