GLOUCESTER TWP., N.J. –
Three officers were shot Friday morning inside the Gloucester Township Police Station, and the suspected shooter has been shot and killed, officials say.One male officer was shot twice, including once in the abdomen below his bullet-proof vest. He underwent surgery but is now out and reported to be in stable condition at Cooper University Hospital.
Injuries to the other two officers, a man and a woman, were said to be “very minor,” according to police. A hospital spokeswoman said they were being discharged Friday morning.
Police said the shooting occurred around 5:30 a.m. when a suspect, who was under arrest in connection with a domestic violence-related incident, got into as violent struggle with officers at the station.
The suspect “obtained a firearm” during the struggle, police said. Officers then returned fire, killing the suspect.

Thanks. I about snorted out the scotch I was sipping…and much as I love scotch in the mouth, in the nose it isn’t so good.
I should have suspected something from the title – that just didn’t sound like you. LOL.
Sigh. At least the officers saved the state a bunch of money. AND (presumably) got the firearm back – the article didn’t say anything about that…
I’m wondering why the officers in the station that were handling a suspect were armed to begin with. That’s just inviting trouble. I thought they checked their weapons when bringing in a suspect.
