You are assuming that they have a brain in the first place.

  2. NJSue says:

Rubio is very impressive. I hope he is the nominee. If Trump gets the nomination, I am leaving the Republican party.

  3. aelfheld says:

Rubio would be a lot more impressive if it weren’t for his efforts to bring about another amnesty.

He conveniently forgets the 9/11 hijackers got the driver’s licenses that got them on the planes through the illegal alien community.

His lack of seriousness on the subject damages his credibility.

  4. Kathy Kinsley says:

Rubio needs to be governor first – he’s got NO executive experience. Like him for governor, I do – like him for president – he’s Obama-right. Sorry. No.

  5. NJSue says:

If people don’t line up behind a moderate Republican candidate, Hillary Clinton is going to be our next president. Rand Paul is a libertarian nut. Ted Cruz is way too right wing. Trump is, I’m sorry, a travesty. Kasich lacks charisma. Christie is a loudmouth bully and his schtick won’t fly outside the Northeast. Call me a RINO (a title I will gladly accede to), but I am very worried about the Republican future if the likes of Trump or Carson get the nomination. Never in my life have I voted for a candidate who has exactly reflected my every view. I pick the lesser of evils.

I will not vote for Jeb Bush because I do not think it’s appropriate for him to run. It reinforces perceptions that the USA is an oligarchy. Sucks to be him but his time has passed and his brother/father have gotten there first.

  6. Kathy Kinsley says:

NJSue – you consider Cruz too right wing?

I’m libertarian – I’d vote for Cruz before Rubio -but I’d vote for Donald Duck before sitting it out or voting Dem. Think. If you don’t vote Republican, you are the other side.

  7. Gunslinger says:

We tried “moderate” candidates in 2008 and 2012. Didn’t work then, won’t work now. So far, Trump is the still the strong horse in this race. God help us all if he becomes the standard bearer.

Then again, he does know how to delegate authority and to whom much better that President Puttz.

  8. Syd B. says:

I’m tired of hearing people proclaim that we had better find a “moderate” Conservative to go up against Hillary, or we’ll lose. Hillary is a criminal. She is pure evil and the truth about her is becoming more clear, even to left leaning indies. Her base couldn’t be motivated to vote against her with an inserted wire brush, but for the more sane amongst us, I have faith that Americans will not permit that bitch to get anywhere near the Whitehouse. So, that leaves us with deciding which Republican candidate will best move forward with Conservative values, not which one will best capitulate with the lefty bastards who have brought the country to her knees.
