This Is Just So Typical, Really
But when you think about it, it is shocking and frankly infuriating and it says so very much about our government, and what needs, nay, must be done about it.

The federal government is the largest energy consumer in the U.S. economy, and the combined reductions would be the equivalent of removing emissions from 235 million barrels of oil, the White House said.
I am literally astounded by this. If this is not the strongest argument yet to reduce the size of this bloated Jabba the Hutt beast that is our government, well, hell, I don’t know what else to say.
A reduction in the size of government takes money out of terrorists’ pockets.
A vote to reduce the size of government is a vote for the environment.
Do it, folks.
Do it for Gaia.

You do realize, Mr. B, that O!bama and his flying monkeys will NOT reduce the size of the Federal goobermint in order to save energy.
Nope, the Federal goobermint employees will receive a directive to reduce energy use, probably by approaches that only look like saving measures. Remember, O!bama is all about the campaign, and not the results.
See, I remember life under Jimmah Cahtah, and his energy “savings” policy. A lot of his measures provided only nominal energy conservation at the cost of efficiency (what little there is, I mean).
Back then, the worst off were troops living in barracks, especially in hot climates. But they turned out to be smarter than Carter (how else?), and messed with the climate controls to provide some degree of comfort (you’d be amazed what you can do with a cheap hair dryer).
Since O!bama is Jimmy Carter v2.0, and given the results of Porkulous and other White House programs, what ever comes down the pipe will be utterly stupid and ineffective.
