This Just Doesn’t Seem to Be Our Day Either

And my, oh my, how sad am I.

The Monkees singer Davy Jones dead at 66

While always in the Mike Nesmith/Mickey Dolenz camp as far as crushes went, I just adored Davy in general.

How could you not?

So sad… he was my favorite Monkee – very sexy and quite the showman. The best concert I ever attended was the Monkees and Herman’s Hermits at Marriott’s Great America – awful bench seats, but we danced through the whole thing. Fond memories :).

My brother was a Monkees uberfan and I have to admit, their songs are timeless, daydream believer….

1967 – More of the Monkees – the first album I ever bought because my very first crush (you, Mr. Jones) was singing “Mary, Mary, where ‘ya goin’ to?”. RIP Mr. Jones. Thank you for the fun and the wonderful music…Hey Hey we’re the Monkees!
