Even though various “experts” have been forecasting higher-than-usual hurricane activity for the past few years we’ve actually had fewer…a trend that will hopefully continue.

Fine by me. Hugo hit us like a freight train. It’s been many years ago. I hope to never see another.
Hurricane prognostication is still mostly guesswork. They don’t know how many there will be in any season, where they will go once they form, or what they’ll do when they get there. Other than that, they know everything there is to know. 🙂
