A Crumpled Guardrail…

…at the DMV course for taking your road test.
Probably didn’t go well.

When I took my driver’s test approximately 1,000 years ago, I hit a pothole at 40 mph, causing the tester beside me to leave his seat, hitting his head violently on the roof liner. This caused him to bite his tongue so severely, that he was bleeding all over my Dad’s new Oldsmobile, Delta 88. As my Dad was waiting for me in the DMV office, my concern was not for the tester’s badly injured tongue, but rather what my father might do to him upon our return. As it turned out, the tester was able to effectively his nice white shirt to absorb all the blood, with not a speck on the lovely gold colored cloth seats of the Olds…and the best part was that I passed.

I think he was rightly afraid of what you would do to him on the re-test, Syd.

Mr. B., I hope that guardrail damage was unrelated to your road test.

Thanks, Syd – I needed that laugh today! 🙂
