I love the “we’re just showing up where people are” nonsense.
“We’re just casually strolling through your driveway and surrounding you near your car, why so tetchy?”
“C’mon, we happened to be in the same restaurant looming over you at your table and taking your personal space.”
“We can’t help it if we’re watching the same movie you are, and spitting on you while we watch!”
But aelfheld’s right – they want to provoke a reaction and then blame the target for the reaction. They vainly think that this will work, as it has so many times before, and they’ll claim one more space. But people won’t be squeezed forever, and when they push back, it’s gonna be ugly.
