Bernanke Admits The Fed Is The Problem

The opening sentence of his testimony today:

The economic recovery has continued at a moderate pace in recent quarters despite the strong headwinds created by federal fiscal policy.

Oh sure he’ll say he means the sequester nonsense but, seriously Ben, we know what the real problem is, don’t we?

I am about 95% certain that Bernanke thinks “headwinds” are helpful, and was actually thinking of tailwinds… IOW the recovery is only moderate despite all the help they’re giving it.

If that’s the case he ought to be cashiered just on general principles.

    It’s all okay though.

    Ben’s not literally printing money.

Well, then, aelfheld, we have nothing to fear but the Federal Government itself!

Then again, I also see (via Ace) that Bernanke is openly talking about employment shifting heavily from full-timers to part-timers thanks to the Obamacare mandates. Maybe he’s misinterpreted Dear Leader’s wish to go ‘full Bulworth’ and gone ahead and done it for him?
