“But We Loved Her”

Britain lays Maggie to rest.

World leaders gather for the funeral of former British Prime Minister Thatcher

“World leaders” used loosely.

No one from here could be bothered to go, but then, Skippy and his crew of miscreants couldn’t “lead” Shotgun Joe out of the men’s room, less mind the world, could they?

So maybe the headline’s right.

That petulant man-child who is our president is anything but a leader. Let alone a world leader.

    Vale, Maggie.

  2. mojo says:

Yeah, world leaders” – minus “The Hindmost”

Good for Cheney. I’m disappointed in the Bush family (ALL of them.)

    Our ‘present’ President? Meh.

  4. Don’t fret too much, folks; after all we know who our true friends are: The friends who helped out during the 14-18 Conflict, the 33,000 American boys who died over France & Germany during the time when there was a bit of blood needing to be cleaned from 41-45, and the many other occasions when we knew we could count on our Friendships.

The small minds in the White House do not represent the generous and indomitable spirit which is America, and we here across the pond know where that friendship lies!

It would have been an insult to her memory for Bam or Shotgun Joe to make an appearance.

That the Bush’s didn’t show isn’t surprising – they hate her for pointing out Bush père was and is spineless.

  6. Kathy Kinsley says:

@Mike. Thanks. We’ve got your backs. But please, remind us you’ve still got some spine? Thanks, mate.

  7. Kathy Kinsley says:

@aelfheld. Hadn’t thought about that – you are likely correct. And it does not excuse EITHER of the Bush prezzies one little bit. (But raises my opinion of Cheney even higher.)
