Doing a Little Research About Something that Intrigued Me, I Learned That ~ in 2011 ~ a Victoria’s Secret Webcast

handled 2 MILLION+ visitors FOR THE HOUR LONG program.

They all had to sign in, too, using “WEBCAST” as a password, so there was some programming involved.

How about that.

Sebelius and Co. have had HOW long and HOW much of our money to get a website that works?

Victoria’s Secret can do a better job than the federal government. Pretty much says it all. I’ kind of pissed that only 800,000 of the money-sucks were furloughed. Out of 2.65 million employees that’s only about 1/3 of them. I’d be happier with about 90% of them at home watching Oprah. (As long as they don’t don’t get paid, and there is no retroactive payment to them.)

  2. JeffS says:

That’s 800K so far, David. Some agencies are hoping that Congress will resolve the matter and move on this week. So they are issuing furlough letters slowly.

As Victoria’s Secrets … … … I’ve yet to see any software by or for the government to work well. Period.

If a system works smoothly, it’s because either they bought the package from a vendor, INCLUDING support, or because the software has been around so long that the bugs were written out through simple repetition.

Most of the 2 million were probably Government employees, too, if one goes by their surfing records…
