During their big battles, Ali and Frazier fought as much outside the ring as they did inside and it made for some great drama, which, in turn, made millions for both of them. In reality, however, they had the highest respect for each other, at least, according to Ali’s autobiography, “The Greatest”. I saw every Ali fight, two live and the rest on the big screen and by far, his best were with Smokin Joe. What a class act. God Bless you Joe.
He was a class act in his gruff way. Republican, too. RIP, Joe.
I remember when he visited our high school way back in the day. My brother shook his hand.
Helluva way to make a living. R.I.P. Smokin’ Joe.
I saw an interview with Frazier, from some years back, where he said he felt as though Ali had gone over the line.Frazier also said that he still had his wits about him and Ali was the loser because he was incapable of talking or walking.I guess they eventually made peace.
Ali may have been a better fighter but Frazier was the better man.
Ali = draft dodging POS.
