    After Hurricane Camille in 1969, Dad and Mom loaded us kids up in the station wagon and we took a ride along the gulf coast. We saw a yacht in the very top of an old oak tree in Gulfport or Biloxi. I’ve forgotten. The rest of the town looked just like what you see here. That was 1969, though. Japan has modern, sophisticated architecture built to withstand earthquakes and typhoons with their storm surges and tsunamis. The power mother nature sometimes puts on display is just incomprehensible.
