I Do Notice One Omission in Our Continuing Happy Dances Here

One I will rectify immediately.

Good on you, Mr. President, for having the intestinal fortitude to greenlight this thing.

It was a decision of presidential proportions.

Sierra Hotel.

Indeed, Sis. Obama did good on this one.

Alas, I am not going to hold my breath, waiting for the next decision of presidential proportions.

See my update to my DingDong post below.

I’ll give props when O gives them to GWB for starting this.

  4. JeffS says:

Yeah, he fucked the speech up, and tried to politicize it. I noticed that when he use phrasing from the Pledge of Allegiance.

But at least he made the call to kill OBL, even if it was for internal political reasons.

OTOH……it does show a certain degree of ruthlessness. Or desparation. Take your pick.

So does this mean the Democrats are finally cool with assassination? 😛

  6. Ave says:

It wasn’t Republicans or Democrats who get credit, it was Americans. It took a while, but we done good.

  7. Rob says:

They couldn’t find a country who was willing or able to take his body. Who are the Islamaphobes again?

  8. Yes, i congratulate the Prez for having the good sense to continue what Bush started, and not cancel the search for the terrorist formerly known as OBL.

    What Ave said.

And to Ebola – and does it mean the Republicans are good with it still (I’m not finding much evidence of that – though I’d like to.)

I am though. And I’ll add my congrats to the President for beating out Carter. He took a risk, but got far better planning. And it worked. He deserves props for that. (Even if we dislike him on everything else.) So, you go guy! (Even if it chokes me to say that.)

Like Mussolini and trains running on time… (oops, sorry, snark gets the best of me sometimes.) But really… the trains DID run on time. You just had to ignore the rest of the problems. Sigh.

I think I should have named my site something like “on the 42nd hand” – I have this terrible habit of thinking up alternatives to the alternative’s alternative’s alternative’s alternatives.

  10. Ebola says:

I hate to admit it with Carter, but fault for the initial stages lies with a shitty weather report. Period. We fucked the pooch on that. Ain’t a damn thing that works well in a sandstorm.

  11. Larry says:

Agreed, nice work Mr. President. I’ll be busting your b@lls tomorrow over something or other, but today you’re golden.

  12. Mark says:

The more I learn about the decision process, and the more I see the administration mishandle the aftermath, the less, er, impressed I become.

Why would any POTUS have to “sleep” on a decision to go get Osama Bin Laden, ever?
