‘Send Them Back’: Wealthy Cape Cod Town Rejects Plan to House Immigrant Children
Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick has answered the call to shelter immigrant children, but Cape Cod residents aren’t having it.
Last week, the Democratic governor announced his offer to house up to 1,000 children at Camp Edwards military base on Cape Cod. Concerned for the children’s wellbeing, Patrick declared, “I think we are the kind of country and the kind of Commonwealth who can step up.”
The town of Bourne disagrees.
A wealthy and historic community at the mouth of Cape Cod, Bourne traditionally attracts vacationers and tourists, not refugees. Residents fear the influx of migrant children could change this forever.
And I have no problem with it at all, as long as the exact same answer from, say, Chumuckla is greeted with the exact same deference and respect for the right to scream “NIMBY”, regardless of social station, ZIP OR voting card.

But they’re perfectly OK with doing that to towns in “flyover” country, because they’re just hick farmers or stuff.
These kind of news stories convinces me that my years old idea of a “Citizen Exchange Program” is not only smart but workable.
Simply take in “X” amount of “tired, poor, and huddled masses” while forcibly deporting an equal amount of whining, bitching, carping, crybaby “natives” to the respective countries from which the former came.
If, after one year’s time, any of the huddled masses want to go back to their lands of origin the exchange will be nullified and the individuals in question will be exchanged once again. Otherwise the exchange shall be permanent and, for example Walid Shoebat and Ayan Hirsi Ali will permanently replace Bill Maher and Oprah Winfrey.

The State Dept has also put up travel advisories on their websites to CentraL American countries, only in the last two weeks. They weren’t there before. While the Feds were saying things were out of control.
ATTENTION## you guys think I’m crazy.. I had gone on some sites noting the lack of travel advisories if Central America was exploding??
Miraculously they’re now are on State Dept sites in the US and Canada.As God as my witness I’m telling the truth.
