In NASA Parlance, I Imagine That’s Known as “Pucker…”
NASA celebrates successful Mars rover touchdown
OUTFRICKIN’STANDING!
They did that, yes, they did.

Really is great! What an exceedingly complicated dance.
But they didn’t build it.
Yep. Lots of catastrophic failure windows, major pucker factor.
You’ll notice all this got started long before Mr. “You Didn’t Build That” started taking the long knife to the Space Program, ALTHOUGH, after he gets done making appropriate, self-serving noises about the hideous tragedy in Wisconsin, I’m sure he’ll be patting himself on the back in full view of the country for ALLOWING them to put the little bugger in the air to begin with, even as he takes credit for the parachute design or something.
THS, he’s already at it, because you know the folks at NASA & JPL didn’t make that happen.
BTW, Curiosity is on Twitter.
And I noticed a “Congrats” sent to him fro one loser was tweet No. 1. BARF! But I DID follow the Rover ~ thanks for the tip, aelf!
(And if anyone’s on Twitter, lemme know! Drop your handle here or email me at thsister at gmail and I’ll follow you, or find ME at @treehuggingsis )
Oh, forget politics for once. GO ROVER! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
