Lehrer
So I guess the meme this morning after is that Lehrer allowed Romney to “bully” him or some such. Well, I for one was pleasantly surprised by Lehrer. Instead of running cover for Obama he actually allowed them to run with the questions and have some back-and-forth free for all.
Unfortunately for Team O that exposes his stuttering and bumbling, but it seems to me that was the point of these debates: give us a better feel for each man. Despite the anti-Lehrer cries from the Left Obama actually had 4 more minutes to speak and yet managed to say far less…and that speaks volumes.
There’s still a long long way to go but the MSM is now grudgingly forced to cover Romney in at least a somewhat positive light, which will certainly be a first.

Maybe it was that previously unreported wound Obama received during his bin Laden take-down that through him off his game.
Ah, yes, the one incurred when he lept out of the crashing helicopter as Hillarry was dodging sniper fire!
I also prefer a free-for-all style debate, where the moderators are there to provide a topics to discuss, as apposed to be the stars of the show, like the NBC/ABC/CBS crowds like to do. I hesitate to throw in CNN with this group as usually, despite their bias, they do a reasonable job in debates. Of course, Lehrer will now be Enemy No. Uno with the lefty crowd as they’ll blame him for the dismal imbalance last night. It was just a notch or two below a homicide.

I think Lehrer’s the man for the job from this point forward. Tries to help the guy having problems in an unobtrusive/schoolteacher way, lets the conversation take a natural course, genial…what’s not to love?
The best thing Lehrer did last night for Obama was interrupt him.
It was funny watching the debate on Xbox Live. The instant polls were all 60+% pro Obama. The bride was near yelling at the screen, and I told her to remember most watching on Xbox are 18-24 living on someone else’s dime. The Future looks bright!
