Protests Over Koran Burning Reach Kandahar
…Kandahar’s provincial governor, Tooryalai Wesa, said the police had been patient with the protesters on Saturday, even when some used grenades and other weapons, but might have to take action “if it continues for another day.”
Zalmai Ayoubi, spokesman for the governor, said the rioters attacked the Zarghona Ana High School for Girls, burning some classrooms and a school bus. The school is supported by the United States Agency for International Development. The Taliban have opposed education for girls.
Taking care of them uppity wimmens under the guise of “we’re pissed at the Florida preacher/Death to America!” makes it a win/win!

One commentator I heard observed: “Did you even HEAR about the Koran burning before it was used as justification for these kinds of things? I didn’t.”
He’s right. I mean, the preacher was still kind of an idiot to burn it, I think, but that act in no way justifies these atrocities.
I don’t think he was an idiot. I see him as patriotic, one of the few who are willing to stand up for freedom of speech. We should be protecting him, not condemning him, and we should be condemning the murderers incited by our puppet in Kabul.
