I went online and bought that DVD & soundtrack immediately at the conclusion of the movie. Loved the movie. Absolutely hated the book.

Mark Twain be damned, I love The Deerslayer. It’s got one of the best opening scenes in literature. What a page turner.
That opening scene really is the bestest.
I swear I know every line.
We’re gonna watch it again tonight to see if, indeed, I DO know every line.
