   Mongo was former NFL D-tackle Alex Karras. I had a black roomie in the USAF and this was his favorite movie.

   There are so many good lines in that movie!

   A few years ago I bought the anniversary DVD… the extras included a 70s TV pilot, with Lou Gosset. Naturally, it lacked the zing of the movie, but it was pretty good. I can only imagine what they could do on cable today…
